Call for Nominations for the 2024 Steering Committee Election

Nomination Guidelines and Process

Dear Fellows,

Every 4 years we elect a new Steering Committee for the ICFBSE, which is the governing body of the College and decides on all activities and programs. All active fellows of the International College of Fellows are eligible to nominate themselves or other Fellows for membership of the Steering Committee.

Current officers and steering committee members are eligible to nominate themselves for additional terms of service

The members of the new Steering Committee will elect among themselves the new Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary.

Please submit your nomination package(s) to:

Ms. Sonia Goncalves: smargarida.goncalves@gmail.com

A complete nomination package must include the downloaded form filled with 2 items:

  1. Candidate’s shortened resume or biosketch, with photo
  2. A statement of the candidate’s purpose and vision for the International College of Fellows, indicating that the candidate agrees to be nominated and is willing to serve as a member of the Steering Committee.

The deadline for submitting nominations is 12 of April, 2024.

——————————————————————-

All nominations will be checked for eligibility and placed on the ICFBSE website (https://fellowsbse.org) by April 19, 2024.

Voting will start on April 22, 2024 and close on May 3, 2024. During this time, each Fellow is entitled to cast 8 votes. The 8 candidates receiving the highest numbers of votes will become the new members of the Steering Committee. As I will be a candidate for another term, the election will be under the supervision of our Secretary Professor Elizabeth Tanner (k.e.tanner@qmul.ac.uk ) that will not run for another term of office. Please always place her in cc when sending your nominations.

The term of the Steering Committee will begin at the World Biomaterials Congress to be held in Daegu, Sou Korea, in May 2024 and end 4 years later at the next World Biomaterials Congress in 2028.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
