International Summer Exchange Program
New Jersey Center for Biomaterials at Rutgers Piscataway, New Jersey, USA
Opportunities for international graduate students are available for 3 month residencies (May 15th to August 15th) in the Kohn Lab at the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Students must currently be enrolled in a relevant Ph.D. program and have a thesis advisor or thesis committee member who is a Fellow. International students will require appropriate U.S. visas.
Applications for Summer 2017 are due January 15th, 2017
NJCBM Areas of Research Focus:
Polymer, cell, and organ printing including patterning and self-assembly
Fabrication of novel 3D tissue scaffolds by 3D printing and other advanced fabrication methods
Integration of materials science and biology to create bioactive and bio-inspired tissue scaffolds

- A letter of reference from a Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering
Alternatively, Fellows may nominate students by sending a nomination package to Suzanne Squires. The package must include:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the student
- Cover letter describing why the student is a good candidate for the exchange
- Areas of research interest and/or thesis project of the student
Eligible candidates will be requested to participate in a telephone interview, followed by an acceptance decision by January 30th, 2017
