The US branch of the ICF Summer Exchange Program has come to a close for 2017. Thank you very much to the students who participated!
|Ms. Patrycja Domalik-Pyzik, PhD student in Materials Science at the AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, Poland. Her research interests include scaffolds for tissue engineering of small blood vessels and gradient composites for cartilage tissue engineering.
|Ms. María Puertas Bartolomé, PhD student at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology of CSIC, Madrid (Spain). Her research focus is on the preparation of bioactive and bioinspired scaffolds with thermosensitive and bioadhesive properties for tissue engineering applications.
|Ms. Yi Sun, PhD student in Biochemical Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), China. Her research focus is on the cancer cells growth inhibition and anti-tumor effect of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (HAPNs) and the potential mechanisms.
|Ms. I-Ning Lee, PhD candidate in the School of Engineering at the University of Liverpool, UK. Research is focused on the fabrication of nano scale surface material features to control stem cell differentiation in next generation implantable scaffolds for regenerative medicine.
UPDATE: Two of our exchange students presented on their work at ESB 2017 and had a mini-reunion with members of the exchange lab
