Research assistant prof, research associate prof, and research prof 1978 to 1985. Regular full professor 1986. Retired 2010, immediately rehired at 40%, served as 40% rehire full prof. until June 2015. Currently fully retired. NIH grantee from 1975 to 2010. Published ca. 200 fully refereed journal articles. Edited 5 books. Co-organized 3 major meetings on proteins at interfaces. Ca. 10 doctoral students and 20 Masters students.

Cell and protein interactions with foreign materials. Controlled drug delivery from biomaterials.
